In Class/Homework Mon 9/8
Class started with looking at the Unit 1 Lesson Plan overview and the Unit 1, Lesson 1 rubrics.
We introduced the TI-84 graphing calculator by beginning graphing calculator skills with a handout on basic operations. We practiced collecting data by simulating the spread of infection of a virus, using the "Outbreak!" handout, recorded the data of the number infected, and plotted the data on a scatter plot.
For next Wednesday, start looking for patterns in the data we collected on: height, armspan, thumb and wrist circumference, foot size and stride. In Wednesdays class we will begin to develop good mathematics vocabulary.
Homework is pg. 4 #1 a, b,and c, and pg. 5, #2 and 3.
