In Class Thurs. 12/21

Today we completed Topic 5 Linear Patterns and Topic 6 Other Patterns (Quadratic, Inverse, Exponential) using msad56.agilemind.com.

Tuesday, December 19, 2006

In-Class Tues. 12/19

Today we used the site http://msad56.agilemind.com in order to explore various types of functions. Under the Algebra I course, choose Topic #5, Linear Patterns, and for Thursday, Topic #6, Other (non-linear) patterns. Be sure to log in using your userid and (case-sensitive) password.

Homework Fri. 12/15

Today we continued on the handouts from pg. 144-146, Experiments #1, 2, 3, and 4. After graphing each type of equation, we described each type using the sentence: "As the x values increase, the y values (increase, decrease) at a (increasing, constant, decreasing) rate." Group several types of equations/graphs together in order to avoid repeating the description.

Wednesday, December 13, 2006

In-class Wed. 12/13

Today in-class, using the handouts, create graphs and tables of solutions to various types of equations. Equation types include: linear, quadratic, inverse, and exponential equations. Do handouts using pg. 144-146, Experiments #1, 2, 3, and 4.

Monday, December 11, 2006

Homework Mon. 12/11

Today we worked on pg. 142-143, #1 and #4, creating tables and graphs of equations to answer questions on time, velocity, and height of a ball thrown into the air. Challenge problem do pg. 142, #3.

Homework Thurs. 12/7

Today we worked on the handout solving Literal Equations #1-16.

Tuesday, December 05, 2006

In Class Tues. 12/5

Today in class we did the assessment on solving linear equations.

Friday, December 01, 2006

In Class Fri. 12/1

Today we did the practice for the assessment of solving linear equations which will be on Tuesday. Be prepared for the assessment and to pass in the homework handout sheets (A-39,40,41,44,46,47, and 48) and practice sheet on test day.
