Today we solved the equations and inequality problems from pg 213 #3, begun in class, then worked on pg 205, #2 and 3, on quadrant, graphing solutions to equations and inequalities, and the characteristics of y-intercept and slope when they are less or greater than zero.

Homework Wed 2/25

Todays homework is pg. 212-214, #1,2,and 3. In class, we examined sections of an x-y axis called quadrants on pg.201, bottom of the page (a-e). We also looked at drawing lines from features of y-intercept and slope (y = a + bx) from pg. 205, #3.
For homework, solve equations and inequalities from pg. 211-214 using a graph and equations depicting percentage of male and female doctors or by using solving linear equations techniques from last chapter.

Today we completed working on the assessment project. Be sure to analyze the results by discussing the correlation, use your linear regression equation to make predictions based on the long distance travel, and discuss the y-intercept and slope in the context of this study. Be ready to pass in a final copy of your report at the beginning of class Monday, Februrary 23.
Remember that the first day back from vacation is a BLUE day.

Today we created scatterplots showing best fit lines, using linear regression of data and the centroid. We finished up writing the introduction, and have gathered the statistical summary of data we needed. We have obtained the best fit line in
y = a + bx form and have the correlation coefficient (r).
