Today we reviewed for Wednesdays assessment on Geometry Unit 5, Lessons 1+2 using the review packed pgs. 80,81,82,83,84,and 90. We also folded nets into three dimensional polyhedra, creating a tetrahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron, icosahedron, and cube from page 394, using the provided handouts.

Today in class we worked on the Core Plus 2nd edition third worksheets pg. 55-62, studying quadrilateral classifications, Rotation, Translation, and Reflection. This will be due Thursday.

In class and homework Mon 3/7
Today in groups we created six triangles following handout directions to discover relations between the congruent parts of triangles and whether the triangles themselves were congruent. We discussed the SSS, SAS, ASA, and AAS theorems and postulate. For those who finished early, we worked on the handout on angle/triangle relationships (pg. 99, chapt. 4 guided practice, and pgs. 101-114 from the Geometry text). This will be worked on Wednesday in class as well.

Homework Tues 3/1
Today we started using isometric projections on pg. 341-342, #1 and 2. In order to visualize 2D and 3D objects we used cubes to construct the objects from views such as Front, Top, and Right sides. Isometric and square dot paper are required to draw your three dimensional and two dimensional projections.
